🍁🌼 WELCOME OCTOBER & FALL COLORS! 🌼🍁
The leaves are beginning to change, the temperatures are cooling down, and October is HERE! 🍂🎃
We had another BUSY week at Young at Heart!
🇺🇸 Scott Looman gave us a marvelous presentation on the Foundations of American Democracy. There was a lot to take in, and we’re already looking forward to Part 2!
🧠 TEAM TRIVIA was a BLAST! If you haven’t joined us for Trivia before, you really need to stop in and give it a try. You don’t have to be a trivia expert—just come ready to laugh, think a little, and have FUN!
🌼 And Karla continues to keep us all moving in the right direction! She has jumped into her role as our Senior Program Coordinator and is on top of everything. THANK YOU, KARLA! We are so happy to have you as part of the YAH team. 💚
And now… OCTOBER looks like it’s going to be another GREAT month!

This is a great opportunity to clear out a few things you no longer need—and then come back and see what treasures you can BUY! 😄
Most importantly, let’s support our friends at 2nd Church. They provide a wonderful home for Young at Heart, so let’s show them some YAH support! 💚
👻🍬 HAUNTED CHURCH IS COMING!
Pastor Anne also wanted us to know that HAUNTED CHURCH is returning on Halloween night! 🎃👻
2nd Church hosts this fun event as a way to connect with families, neighbors and our community.
🍬 WE CAN HELP!
Before October 15, please bring in donations of individually wrapped candy.
Let’s help 2nd Church make this a fun Halloween for the children in our community. They do so much to support Young at Heart, and this is one little way we can support them! ❤️
And if you have…
🎃 Grandkids
👻 Neighbor kids
🍭 Friends’ kids
…bring them along on Halloween night!
Details and times will be coming in future weekly emails.
🍁 OCTOBER IS JUST GETTING STARTED!
Volunteer at The Storehouse. Hear another great presentation. Join us for lunch. Play some games. Find a bargain. Donate some candy. Bring a friend.
There are LOTS of ways to be part of Young at Heart this October!
🌼 Come participate. Come laugh. Come make a difference. Most of all—COME JOIN US! 💚🍂
