The Fun Forecast!

🌞

The weather has certainly kept us guessing lately! I hope everyone has stayed safe and dry through all the recent storms and sunshine.

I can speak from experience—sometimes you don’t check the forecast and end up caught completely off guard! This past week, however, it wasn’t the weather that changed our plans. Instead, the church began installing beautiful new flooring in the dining room we use for our activities. While it meant a last-minute pivot and a missed day of programming, we’re excited about the fresh new look and know it will be worth the wait. Thank you all for your flexibility, patience, and positive attitudes as we adjusted our plans!

The Exercise class did get to get outside and enjoy the weather this week! Well done!

🤔 Fun Facts About Father’s Day

👨‍👧 The very first Father’s Day was celebrated in 1910 in Spokane, Washington. Sonora Smart Dodd wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran who raised six children on his own.

🇺🇸 Father’s Day didn’t become an official U.S. holiday until 1972, when President Richard Nixon signed it into law.
