UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS:
This Wednesday, February 4, YAH starts its 4-week series on Health and Wellness. See the attached flyer. Jennifer Helsel from Mary Free Bed- Blind and Visually Impaired Services will be presenting in the Lounge at 10:45. This is a great time to learn about their resources, advancements in technology and funding options. RSVP not necessary.
Friday, February 6 will be the bus trip to Alpine Ave Walmart. The bus will pick you up in the 2nd Church parking lot at 10:00 and bring you back at 11:30. Cost: $2.00 suggested donation. Please RSVP as soon as possible. See the attached flyer.
Monday, February 9 at 11:30, our Cooking Class with The Ginger Chef resumes with a focus on one-pot dinners. YUMMY!! Cost $6.00. Please RSVP.
Wednesday, February 11:
· Technology class with Joslin resumes at 10:00-11:30. Great time to ask and get your questions answered about any of your social media devices, phones, I-pads, laptops…
· The Calvin Nursing Students will offer part I of their presentation on Mental Health First Aid at 10:45-11:15.
· Lunch – Taco Soup, will be available at 12:00-12:30. Cost $6.00. Please RSVP.
· Brianna Miranda from Fair Housing Center of West Michigan will be here at 12:45-1:45 to address concerns regarding housing costs and discrimination older individuals and those who are disabled can face when looking for safe housing. See the attached flyer.
Friday, February 13 is the bus trip to Gun Lake Casino. Plan to meet the bus in the parking lot at 2nd Church at 9:30 with a 1:30 return time. Cost is $15.00 payable to Young at Heart. Please RSVP as soon as possible. See the attached flyer.
