⭐ The Young at Heart Book Club was recently reading and discussing Kristen Hannah’s “The Women,” in preparation for our upcoming Voices of Valor: Women in War Presentation. The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12. The luncheon has been sold out, but there is still room for the FREE Presentation starting at 12:45. Please RSVP.
We are excited to let you know that the Raffle Tickets for 7 nights in Puerto Rico are nearly SOLD OUT!! If you have not gotten yours yet, we only have a handful left. Get them from Young at Heart ASAP!
🎲 🎲 Play for a little luck and have a bite to eat at Gun Lake Casino on Friday, November 14. The bus will pick you up at 2nd Church at 9:30 and bring you back by 1:30. Cost: $15.00 for the bus service. RSVP.
🎼 🎶 The Male Schubert Christmas Concert is Jingling its way to Calvin College, Saturday, December 13 at 7:30. This is a fun, sentimental journey of Christmas favorites. Tickets in Advance are $22.00 and available through Young at Heart. If YAH sells 20+ tickets, 50% of the proceeds come back to YAH. This is a great way to support the longest running all-male Schubert Chorus as well as supporting YAH. See the flyer for more information.
🦃 🍂 The YAH Thanksgiving Celebration on Monday, November 24 is sure to be a special event this year. The Ginger Chef, Deb Anderson, Kaye Davis and Rick Steinport will be preparing a special feast! There will be Table Games, a special activity, and a Presentation by Revive and Thrive. Cost is $10.00 for lunch. RSVP
Revive and Thrive, working with Leadership Volunteers and Teens, supplies healing meals to those in our community with medical needs such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes. YAH will also be taking up a food donation. They are asking for specific items such as: Canned Tomatoes, Canned Beans, Whole Grains, Nuts and Seeds, Ziplock Bags or brown paper lunch bags. You may drop off your donation at YAH November 10-November 24. See the flyer for more information.
