Last week YAH celebrated the volunteers that help make the activities at YAH possible. Did you know we have 35+ Volunteers that make a committed effort to bring you activities and events that are aimed at improving your emotional, mental and physical health? If you are interested in being a part of the team, please let us know. We are always open to matching your gift with a role that fosters a win-win for you and YAH. YAH aims to serve you!
Next week Wednesday, October 29, 11:00-2:00 is our “Fall Into Wellness,” event. We have door prizes and we have massages; we have messages of health and safety, and treatments to reduce pain; we have music, and yes, of course healthy, tasty food to celebrate the season! WOMEN at WAR: Women have a long and rich history of military service in America—a legacy that is often overlooked. Some have bravely served on the front lines, facing enemies abroad. Others have fought quieter but equally painful battles within their own ranks. These women are courageous, resilient, and deserving of our deepest respect. Come honor their service, hear their stories, and help us say thank you. Wednesday, November 12 @12:45-2:15. While there is no cost for the presentation, please RSVP to help us save a space for you. If you would like to join us for lunch, it will be served at 12:00. Menu: Tuna Salad and Chicken Salad Sandwiches on Mini-Croissants, fruit and dessert. Cost for lunch: $6.00.
Young at Heart has been invited to have a Resource Table at the Creston Neighborhood Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 23 at 6:00 at Palmer School. All residents of CNA are encouraged to attend, hear the latest about your neighborhood and vote for your neighborhood leaders.
