Join us on Monday, June 2 for some culinary art… Beer, Burgers and Brats as we welcome Adnoris “Bo” Torres from Strong Fathers. We will be collecting donations to support single dads and hearing from Bo about the educational and supportive services offered through Strong Dads. RSVP for lunch. Cost is $6.00.
Attached is our June schedule for the Walking Club. Come join us for a moment of natural art, exercise and socializing. We meet each Saturday at 9:30, and walk various parks around Grand Rapids. Great way to start the weekend!
Hope to see you at our Spring Speaker Series, as Sherry Burton joins us on Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 – 8:00pm. Sherry has done extensive research and written books shedding light on the historical “Orphan Trains.” Light refreshments will be provided. Cost: $10.00, Bring a friend for an additional $5.00. Valerie VanHeest will join us on Monday, June 16 to share her experiences as a scuba diver, researcher and author. This year’s topic is called “Fatal Crossing, The Mysterious Disappearance of NWA Flight 2501.” Lunch will be served prior to the presentation. Cost: $10.00, Bring a friend for an additional $5.00. RSVP preferred.
Our third presenter will also share stories about the Ladies who light up our Great Lake waterways! will be presented Wednesday, July 9. The evening will start at 5:30 with a FREE Ice Cream Social and a Concert by Calder City Band outside on the lawn at 2nd Church. Diana Stempfler will start her presentation at 7:00-8:30, indoors. Cost: $10.00, Bring a friend for an additional $5.00. RSVP preferred. A donation to the band for the music and the church for the ice cream will be an appreciated gesture.
