Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
What a busy month it has been! Virginia is swamped this week so I have offered to pitch-hit the newsletter. I’m Krista, the YAH webmaster! I have been with YAH since June of 2021 and am so impressed with the work that has been done for this program from the entire team.
Wishing everyone a SAFE and blessed Memorial Day, with a special thank you to those who served.

Thank you to those who participated in Mother’s Day Baby Shower!
NEW! YAH now accepts online payments! CLICK HERE to donate, pay for your lunches, or really anything you wish! Payments are processed through PayPal – but don’t worry, you don’t need a PayPal account. You use any card. If you pay online, please continue to RSVP with Virginia as you normally would and let her know you pre-paid.
Speaking of donations, we’re hoping that those 73 and over will keep YAH in the back of their mind when considering what to do with their minimum required distribution from their IRA and/or 401K! YAH is a 501c3 non-profit and all donations are tax deductible.
NEXT WEEK! Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30-8:00 is the first in our three part Speaker Series. Award winning author Sherry Burton will be speaking on the historical event in which young orphans from New York were sent west on “Orphan Trains.” Ms. Burton has written a series of historically accurate books depicting the journey of these young survivors. This will be a very moving and enlightening evening. Light Refreshments will be provided. Cost is $10.00. Bring a “New-to-YAH Friend” for $5.00. Please RSVP. 2nd Church will be holding a Blood Drive from 2:30-6:30. Come early, and you can donate blood.

LOOKING AHEAD:
Monday, June 2 at 12:00-2:00, in honor of fathers, YAH will be having a “Beer, Brats and Burgers” Luncheon. Cost for lunch is $6.00. Bring a donated item to support single-fathers. The entire June calendar can be previewed HERE.
Krista
