Spring brings new life

Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;

YAH has certainly had new energy as the weather warms a bit, and we see more beautiful faces. We had a wonderful day with many of you showing up for our wonderful Pizza, Salad and Dessert lunch, presentation on “What’s Happenin’ at YAH” and the African Travelogue. It sure sounded like an amazing trip! Thank you Mike and Terri for sharing it with us!!!

WELCOME: “Welcome” to our new Euchre players from last week. It is always nice to see new faces, some familiar faces, and feel the exciting energy as you get to know each other, all while sharing a fun game. Our next Euchre Day is Wednesday, April 23 at 12:45. The more the merrier! If you would like to learn the game, please contact YAH prior to game day. Char will love to help you learn the game, so you can join the others with more confidence.

THANK YOU: A couple of weeks back, YAH hosted some students from Grand Valley’s Public Health Program. Here are a few quotes from a thank you from the Professor, Mario Ferrari:  “… The feedback I received from my students was overwhelmingly positive. They expressed their admiration for the entire experience, particularly the camaraderie among the ladies, the ambiance of the space, and your exceptional facilitation…. Also, please tell the lovely ladies we met how much we appreciated them. Our students were so impressed, and they keep talking about them in class.”

 Thank you to those who participated. This was a great opportunity to have your voices heard for future generations.

Despite the rollercoaster weather pattern, I have begun to see the crocus, the hellebores, the snowdrops and daffodils blooming. Birds are chirping, and the forsythia’s are ready to burst. Spring brings new life. That is a wonderful thing to celebrate!

Spring Blessings,

Virginia
