Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
Last week we had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. We ate Irish Stew from Curragh Irish Pub, in Holland, and were entertained by the Celtic Trio, “Dalraida.” We also had a fun March BirthDay Celebration with 8 celebrants and their friends. Thank you to the 16 people who painted Bowls, resulting in a donation of $150.00 for God’s Kitchen. I look forward to seeing the final results of your creativity.
TRAVELOGUE on an AFRICAN SAFARI: Monday. March 31 is the long-awaited travelogue with Mike and Terri Firlik. A pizza lunch with salad and dessert (Cost for lunch: $6.00) will be served at 12:00. At 12:15-12:45 there will be a brief presentation on “What’s Happenin’ at Young at Heart”. The travelogue will follow at 12:45-2:00. The travelogue is free.
VISITING the VETERANS: Please note we will be heading to the Veteran’s Home for a tour and an entertaining afternoon. Please RSVP soon to help the staff at the Michigan Veteran Homes Home to plan accordingly. See the attached link for more information.
SPRING into WELLNESS: On May 5, YAH will be hosting Ivy Rehab and the massage therapy students from Blue Heron Academy, along with others for a Day of Wellness. This is shaping up to be an amazing day of Fun and Health. Who knew wellness could taste and feel so good!!! Cost for lunch and all activities is $10.00. If you bring a YAH first-timer both come for $15.00.
