Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family:
Last week Young at Heart had a great dinner and fun events night honoring all our Volunteers who help make coffee, set up and clean up after lunches, help to plan outings, help run the classes and activities, and help manage the behind the scenes budget and paperwork. We currently have 26 regular volunteers. If you see any of these wonderful Volunteers please say “Thank you!”
Looking for a way to give back? Some of our Volunteers will be ending their service at the end of the year, as their bodies wear out, and they are ready to rest and enjoy the activities without the responsibility. If you are interested in Volunteering with the Young at Heart, we sure would love to have you. There are many ways in which we use Volunteers. We are open to all ages. It is a fun and rewarding way to meet new people and participate in the activities as you wish. If you have a gift or hobby you would like to introduce, we are always open to new ideas. We NEED YOU and WANT YOU to join the FUN!!

Rick Potts. We will be celebrating with them on Wednesday, September 21st at 9:30-11:00. Sign up now for a delicious brunch and fun times. Cost is $5.00 for non-birthday guests. Menu: Pigs in a Blanket, fruit and pastries.
To help us plan adequate space please be sure to let us know if you plan to attend the Hospice Today Presentations (see the attached flyer). The first one is Monday, September 19th at 12:30. The presentation is free. Lunch will be provided by Senior Meals. The menu is: Beef Pepper Steak (gravy), Diced Carrots and Buttered Peas, with Dessert. Cost for lunch is $5.00. RSVP by 9/16.
Speaking of FREE, Brennen Kartes from Beltone is back to offer free Hearing Tests, on Monday, September 26th 9:00-1:00. Sign-up now for your half hour time slot. Appointments are filling fast. See attachment for more information.
