Rocks, Scam, and Bats; Oh My!!

Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family,


Just like that, Summer is here, and life has gotten busier!!!  I hope you have been able to begin to enjoy the Spring flowers, golf, peaceful walks, yardwork, Spring cleaning, visits with neighbors, a picnic, grandchildren activities… all the fun stuff that comes with the warmer weather in Michigan. 


Kreigh Tomaszewski, Science Curator from the GR Public Museum, and President of the GR Rocks and Mineral Club will be sharing portions of his wealth of knowledge about rocks and minerals with us this Wednesday, May 18th at 12:00. Hope you can join us for this enlightening presentation. 


Next Monday, May 23rd at 12:30-2:30, Huntington Bank will be offering a lively, interactive presentation on Financial Security and Ways to Avoid Fraud/ Scams. Games and Prizes will be awarded. Pizza lunch will be offered at Noon. Cost for Lunch is $5.00. Please RSVP for lunch. The presentation is FREE. Come for both or attend just the presentation. We end the month with a matinee White Cap’s Game on Wednesday, May 25th. We will carpool from St. Al’s at 11:00. It is 50% Senior Days. So the cost for the game is $9.00. Must RSVP by this week Wednesday, May 18th. The cost of parking is $8.00 and shared with your carpooling friends. If you plan to purchase gifts or food at the game, be aware you must pay by card. No checks or cash will be accepted.
