CORRECTION: Technology Support Classes have resumed. The corrected time is 10:00-11:00 on Wednesdays. I apologize for the misprint on the calendar. There will be no class on Wednesday, July 16.
NEW ENDEAVORS: Monday July 14 and Wednesday July 16, between 10:00-12:00 the YAH crafters are holding a “We Make It, You Take it,“ event. They will have many of their crafts on display for you to purchase. Come to the Gathering Room to check out the variety of practical gifts. Any donation is accepted. First Come, First serve.
The YAH Sewing Club is in transition. The group will be setting up a beautiful space at 2nd Church. They are planning to meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 10:00-12:00. They will continue supporting some of their amazing projects/ programs, as well as starting new endeavors with new collaborators. Interested in being a part of these craft projects??? Let us know. While 2nd Church will be making the space available, we are looking for a few volunteers to help us clean, paint and organize the new space for the sewing Club. Interested? Let us know!! More information will be coming…
REMINDERS:
- Oak Street Health will come to meet YAH and introduce their services to us on Monday, July 21 at 10:00 – 11:00. This is a great Community Resource, especially at times of need for Continuity of Care! Come and learn about all their services! RSVP is helpful, but not necessary.
- Also on Monday, July 21 at 12:45-1:45, Josh Wolf from Lake Michigan Credit Union’s Fraud Department, as well as Kelsey Broennie, the ‘next door’ Branch Manager, will be presenting on the latest on Frauds and Scams, especially those that most target the Older population. They will also plan to cover safety and security, especially as it relates to on-line banking. Help keep yourself and hard earned investments secure! RSVP is helpful, but not necessary.
- Root, Root, Root for the Home Team!!! Join us for a fun afternoon at the White Caps Baseball on Wednesday, July 30. Join us for Baseball Bingo, and great prizes! Cost is $11.00. Payment will secure your ticket. RSVP before July 16!
