Last Week I gave you a run down of upcoming presentations for this winter. This week, I have attached two flyers in regards to February Outings:
1) In collaboration with Kent Co Senior Millage (KCSM) and United Methodist Community House (UMCH), YAH has been able to get transportation to the Alpine Walmart from 10:00-11:30 on Friday, February 6 and Friday March 6. Please let us know if you are interested or if a different time slot might work better for you. We are trying to tweak what will work best for the majority. See the flyer for more information. Cost: $2.00 suggested donation for transportation, but no one is turned away. RSVP
2) YAH is also working on offering a quarterly bus trip to the Casino. Currently we have Friday, February 13 booked to go to Gun Lake Casino. The bus will pick you up at 2nd Church at 9:30, and plan to bring you back by 1:30. Cost for transportation is $15.00. See the flyer for more information. RSVP and advance payment is requested.
The February Calendar is also attached for more information.
DID YOU KNOW? Home Repair Services offers Free Lunch and Learn opportunities the third Friday of each month. HRS is on a mission to strengthen homeowners of all backgrounds with multiple resources and services. They offer classes on how to do some home repairs on your own and save on expensive service repair bills. See the flyer for more information.
WE NEED YOUR INPUT: Calvin University in collaboration with the Creston and Belknap-Lookout Neighborhoods is looking for people to be a part of a Focus Group. They would like to hear from you about the strengths, concerns, and dreams of residents in the Creston / Belknap neighborhoods. “We will also listen to your views about what the top health concerns are for people and the barriers to getting the health care that you need. We hope to use what we learn to plan programs that promote the health and well-being of the community.” Participants will receive a $40.00 gift Card in exchange for 75 minutes of your time and participation; must be aged 18+, live within the listed neighborhoods, and MUST register to participate. See the flyer for more information.
Hoping all are well in this wintery spell;
Virginia
