Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
It has been a hot and humid summer, hopefully each of you are finding ways to stay cool, rested and hydrated.
THANK YOU:
On behalf of the Young at Heart, many of you have been very generous in your response to our July fundraising appeal. No amount is too small. Besides cash some of you have donated items such as stamps, gift cards, Bingo Prizes, paper products, and so forth. A more detailed report from the Fundraising Committee will be forthcoming in the near future.
A CALL OUT FOR HELP:
Join our Cleaning and Paint Party: It is now official. YAH has a room that will be set up for our Sewing Club and storing/organizing the equipment used for our various exercise classes. If you are willing to donate a little of your time to help clean, or paint please let me know. We are hoping to clean and paint on Friday, August 1 from 10:00 – 4:00. Please call or email to let me know what time you can come. No one is expected to stay the whole time. Lunch will be available. Want to donate to the lunch menu or help prepare lunch? Please let me know. Call 616-251-1134 or email info@youngatheartgr.org.
CONDOLENCES:
Young at Heart participant Marilynn McKay passed away late last week. Marilynn, a part of the Young at Heart Book Club, was a very intelligent, compassionate woman who loved to learn, and always had a story to tell. She will be missed. Our condolences to Marilynn’s Family.
