Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
As though March isn’t coming fast enough, and our calendar didn’t already have some fun things happening…. It feels like the spring buds are popping with the flurry of activities that are coming up! One of the recent events was an interview with Jennifer Feuerstein on TV4, featuring a short segment about YAH.

Looking Forward:
On Saturday, March 15 at 1:00-5:00,
GVSU Students from the Public Health Department will be hosting an event for YAH. This is a great time to also bring those friends/family members that cannot come on our normal Mondays or Wednesdays. The students will be leading some St. Patrick’s Day themed games, snacks and drinks will be available. The students may also lead fun exercises, engage socially with participants and just have an overall great time with the participants. The event will be held at the normal location at 2nd Church, 525 Cheshire. Lets surprise the students with how much fun a person can have while aging. This event is free to participants.

In April we will be visiting the Home for Veterans for a tour, then participating in lunch and entertainment with the Vets.
Also starting in April, MSU-Extension will be offering classes to Promote Healthy Sleep as well as the 12 Keys to Embracing Aging. Sign-ups will start soon. In the meantime here is a link to MSU-Ext on-line classes being offered soon. https://www.canr.msu.edu/food_health/virtual-health-programs-calendar
YAH is also in the process of scheduling a Speaker Series starting this Spring-Summer. Each month we will be hosting an engaging speaker. Times and days will vary. Many of the speakers will cover historical events and offer book signings for those that are interested. More details to follow.
Let us know if you would be interested in being a part of hosting/ hospitality or planning any of the activities, classes, speakers or events that take place through Young at Heart. If you have suggestions for events or classes you would like to see offered, let us know.
