Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow. Chuck, the groundhog that resides at the Staten Island Zoo did not. So, what is your prediction for Spring? The smell of Spring was in the air for a short while this weekend, as the Walking Club had a revitalizing walk in the sun. Saturday, February 15 we will be joining the World of Winter for a walking Scavenger Hunt Downtown. Contact YAH if you are interested in joining us.

Some of you are aware the Calvin Nursing Students visited YAH last week and took a survey of topics you would like for them to present. Here is the outcome of the survey: Join the Calvin Student Nurses as they present on the following topics at 10:30 in the Gathering Room.
- Wednesday, February 12: Sleep – Sleep hygiene to get a full night’s rest.
- Wednesday, February 19: Nutrition – How to read food labels with examples of healthy foods.
- Wednesday, February 26: Mental Health – Strategies to lower anxiety and keep the brain sharp.
Technology Assistance: Ashley Doyle from Senior Neighbors will be offering a class for YAH, on Google Docs. If you wish to learn how to share documents with another friend,colleague or family member via the internet, this class is for you. The class will be offered on Tuesday, February 25 at 10:00. Please RSVP with YAH if you are interested.
Monday, February 10 is our first Cooking Class of 2025. The Ginger Chef will be serving up Soups. RSVP soon! Attendance is limited.
Monday, February 10, Brennen from Beltone will be at YAH for FREE Hearing Tests. Check the status of your current hearing, establish a baseline for which to compare future readings, or ask Brennen about auditory devices. Hearing is an important skill worthy of learning more about. RSVP to schedule your half hour appointment between 9:30-12:30.
