Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
Blessings to all as we head into the holiday weekend.
At this time next month, Young at Heart will be holding classes at its new location at 525 Cheshire. Here is the calendar of events/activities for September. The schedule is subject to change as we adapt to the new setting and work collaboratively with the staff at 2nd Congregational.
As we begin programming we will once again need volunteers to help with some of the activities. If you are willing and able to help YAH run the best programs it can, we would love your help! It takes many hands to make light work. Here are a few opportunities for volunteers:
- get coffee started each morning
- help set up before lunches/cooking classes/ BirthDay Brunches
- help clean up after lunches/brunches
- help with planning monthly activities such as outings and presentations
- help lead/facilitate new activities/program
Since YAH is now incorporated as a Non-profit organization, we will be looking for volunteers to help with marketing efforts and fundraising in the near future. If this is something you enjoy, please let us know. We will be reaching out to the Northend Community and can use your help in our future efforts to grow and serve you, as well as your friends, that is “old friends and new friends” alike.
