Enjoying April Showers indoors

Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;

With this cool and wet Spring we are having, it sure has been nice to have a warm and friendly place to gather, share, grow and learn together.

Next week, Monday, April 11th we will have our monthly Cooking Class. The emphasis is on cooking three vegan entrees: Mushroom Steaks, Lentil Chili and Spaghetti Squash Taco Casserole. (WOW! That’s a mouth full!! Ha, Ha!) Due to the popularity of the cooking classes, we are limiting the class size to 24. We do have a few openings, but please RSVP soon!  Cost is $5.00.

The Walking Club is also meeting at 10:00 on Saturday Mornings. We have returned to meeting at different parks each week. We enjoyed the paved, rolling hills and met countless friendly dogs at Cascade Township Park last Saturday. Exploring the Paul Henry Trail, Millenium Park and Johnson Park are on the itinerary for April. Each walker is welcome to walk at their own pace and distance. Come join us. The more the merrier. See the attachment for more details.

LOOKING AHEAD: Last week I mentioned Touring Tulip Lane in a convertible, on Tuesday, May 17th. We will also be heading to a White Caps game on Wednesday, May 25th. Seniors get in half-price.
We will also have two presentations in May: Huntington Bank will present on Financial Security on Monday, May 23rd; and Kreigh Tomaszewski from the GR Museum, and President of the Rock and Mineral Cub will share his expertise with us on rocks, minerals and geology, on Wednesday, May 18th.

There is something for everyone!  If there is something you would like to do with your friends or try to meet new friends, please let us know! The Senior Enrichment Program is for YOU!

Stay safe and healthy!
