Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family,
In addition to the December Calendar coming out this week… Good news continues to abound at YAH:
We have found an instructor for our Computer class!! We also received grant money from Area Agency on Aging to purchase some equipment, as well as pay a small stipend for the instructor. We are VERY excited about this!!! Jennette, the instructor, is asking anyone who is interested in this class to fill out a simple questionnaire to help her plan her class around your interests and needs. Jenn is young, and was raised on computers. She is an incredibly gentle, energetic and patient soul! She can help you with your desktop, your tablet, or smartphone. Whatever your struggles may be; wherever your challenges may lay, Jenn will be your guide! Attached is the survey. Please give us your name, contact information, and your preferred day and time of the week for the class.
The Schubert Male Chorus has returned for its Annual Christmas Concert. They are very excited about this after taking last year off. This is always a fun, festive concert. Tickets are $20.00/person. Here is the extra good news! If YAH sells 20+ tickets, 50% of the proceeds come back to the Young at Heart. That means, if we sell 20+ tickets, YAH can receive $200.00 minimum return. GREAT DEAL!!!! Our own Chris Kaiser and special guest will be one of the features this year. Call, stop by, or email if you are interested in purchasing a ticket.
Next Monday, November 22nd is our Thanksgiving Celebration. We will have lunch catered by Russ’ Restaurant, and an afternoon of Fun and Blessings. Please RSVP by this Friday, November 19th.
Lastly, we have two more time slots (11:00 and 12:30) open for the Hearing Tests scheduled for Monday, December 6th. Please let me know if you are interested. If neither of these times work for you, let us know. We will have Brennen from Beltone contact you to schedule another date/time at his office.
Thanks to All of you, who support YAH, and make this program what it is!!! Stay tuned, as we have more good news coming down the pike!!!
God Bless,
Virginia
