SEPTEMBER BRINGS CHANGES:

The September Calendar is out. There are a lot of changes that are coming… new programs and a new day of activities.

  • Many have expressed an interest in YOGA meeting on days opposite the regular exercise class. So, Alesha has adjusted her schedule and she will be offering Yoga on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30-10:30.
  • In addition, the YMCA will be offering a ZUMBA class on Tuesdays at 11:30-12:30. While this class is open to everyone in the community, Elise will be able to tailor the class to meet the needs of the participants
  • The SEWING CLUB will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 10:00-noon.
  • LIFT  is also starting. in September and will meet at 10:45-12:15 on Tuesdays. LIFT is an interactive group that will help members share their journey and travel together. It will provide opportunities to try new activities and build rejuvenating relationships. This group will explore the health benefits of sharing our stories and the benefits of having shared group activities that help us to grow,  both as individuals and unite us as a group. The Facilitator, Bert Nelson, will be coming to YAH on Monday & Wednesday to meet some of you and invite you to participate, or answer any questions you may have..
  • VOICES OF VALOR: A three-part Speaker Series will start September 10 at 12:45 – 2:15. This series will focus on powerful stories of military service across three events. From WWII to modern day conflicts, these sessions will offer unique perspectives on service, sacrifice, and resilience, from the home front to the front lines.

YAH will be celebrating the end of its first year as its own 501c3 in September. We hope to join with you as we celebrate our 1 year Anniversary. Stay tuned!

Blessings,

Virginia
