Greetings to our Young at Heart Friends and Family;
I hope everyone had a safe, healthy Thanksgiving, celebrating all you are thankful for, with your friends and family.
The Season of anticipation is upon us! This can also be a busy time, as well as an icy, cold time of year.
Here at Young at Heart, we hope to offer a few opportunities to focus spiritually as well as celebrate with friends and family, provide a warm environment, and encourage meeting new friends. We Hope to provide a place of Peace, Love and Joy, as well as opportunities to share our hope, peace, love and joy with others outside our program.
🎼 🎶 This week Wednesday, December 4 at 11:00, and next Wednesday, December 11 at 1:00, Pastor Anne from 2nd Church will lead a non-denominational two-part prayer service with song and meditations. All are welcome!
🎄🎄Monday, December 16 at Noon – 2:30 will be our 2024 Christmas Celebration. We will be hosting Karen Malmsten, who will be doing a presentation on “Human Trafficking from the Viewpoint of Nursing Care.” YAH will be bringing hope, sharing love and joy as we take up a Christmas collection for Bethany Christian Services Refugee Program. Feel free to bring in donations of Baby items, toys, Health and Beauty Aids, cold weather items, etc. to support the refugees’ new start in life. Following this lunchtime presentation, Lake Michigan Credit Union staff will be joining us for some lively Christmas activities. Bring hors d’oeuvres to share for lunch. Cost is $6.00.
🎂🎂 Monday, December 18 at 9:30-11:00 will be our December BirthDay Brunch. Come celebrate with your friends. Come with Hope, bring some Peace, share your Love and take home some Joy! FREE if it’s your Birthday month. Cost is $6.00 for non-Birthday celebrants.
