The Happy Bookers will be reading “Miracle Children: Race, Education, and a True Story of False Promises,” by Katie Benner and Erica Green. An investigative reporter, Ms. Benner uncovers a scam and a notorious college admissions scandal that exposes inequalities and racial segregation, both bringing people together and driving them apart.
