Once again the Ginger Chef did an amazing job, helping us non-Vegan dieters enjoy a wonderful lunch at this month’s Cooking Class. Next month she will feature “All Things Strawberry.” Check out the June Calendar for more details.
UPCOMING PROGRAMING
- Technology Support Class on May 22 at 10:00 will feature Navigating Social Media, and the May 29 class will focus on Password and other security issues. Joslyn does an amazing job! June classes will be drop-in style, an opportunity for you to bring any questions you have about your personal devices- Android/ Apple products, phones, i-pads, tablets, PC, and so forth.
- Wednesday, May 22 at 9:00-11:00, Wood Burner Extraordinaire, Karen Brown will be coming to the Woodcarver’s Class to help teach some techniques of woodburning. This is open to ALL levels of wood burners, including newbies who just may be interested in trying this art form. Karen will be bringing additional wood burners. Cost is $10.00/person. PLEASE RSVP no later than Friday, May 17.
- YAH will be CLOSED on Monday, May 27 and Tuesday May 28 due to Memorial Day.
- Wednesday, May 29 is our Annual White Caps Outing. Join us as we “root, root, root for the home team.” Game starts at 11:00. Meet at the ballpark, or carpool from St. Al’s at 10:15. Cost is $10/game. Parking is an additional $8.00. RSVP with $10.00 payment by Friday, May 17. Organized by our Volunteer extraordinaire, Char!

“Our very own VIRGINIA, will be getting married June 28, 2024 to Steve Kenemer! We are so happy to be able to celebrate this event with a BRIDAL SHOWER on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from noon – 2:00 in the Cafeteria of the Parish Center. If you would like to join us for lunch (monetary donation appreciated), please RSVP by May 24 to Char (616) 862-6392 or Patty (616) 447-0642. Sign-up sheets are available if you wish to bring a dish. If you would like to stop in to wish her well, please do.”

- Brennan Kartes will be back for Hearing Tests on Monday, June 10 at 9:00-1:00. Please RSVP for your FREE 1/2 hour time slot.
- John Foley and Lori Jacobs will be performing a Variety Show, “The Last Laugh,” on Monday, June 10 at 1:15. This will be a fun and entertaining event! Both entertainers have extraordinary careers in Community Theater in Grand Rapids. Please get in your RSVP so we can reserve and plan for space. Free (but donations are welcome)!
