Hello, Young at Heart Friends and Family;
It is almost February already!!! To me, that means we are half-way through the winter.
This week’s email is loaded with lots of good information and opportunities. I hope you find something that is informative and helpful.
First and foremost is the Updated February Calendar as well as the list of classes for the Technology Support Classes that start this week. The Technology classes are designed as drop in. So come when you can.
St. Alphonsus Tax Program starts this week also, so be sure to call if you want your taxes done. If you are willing to Volunteer, please contact Michelle at 451-3043. They often need greeters and people to help make copies to assist the preparers. They may also need a few more preparers if you are so inclined!
The local Alzheimer’s Association is offering an informational meeting on Dr. Judy Heidebrink will provide up-to-date information on what is currently known about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia and offer insight into where future research may be headed our way nationally and in Michigan. In addition, the latest information on treatments will be discussed.
AARP and Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring a Smart Phone Training on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 – 3:30. Learn to be smarter than your phone… Well, at least as smart as your phone… LOL… Then come and help us at the Center on Wednesdays at 10:00. We can all learn from each other. See the attached flyer/link for more information.
Last, but not least, the photos below are a few samples of the beautiful jewelry the participants made in the recent enameling class. We hope to have Joan come back in the near future. THANK YOU, JOAN!!
