Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family;
While I do enjoy having daily contact with many of you, I really do prefer in-person contact versus snow day cancellation notifications. LOL… With that said, the snow has created a beautiful Winter Wonderland. I hope all are safe and warm, enjoying the peace and the beauty of this opportunity. We have made an effort to contact each of you via email through Mailchimp, as well as called or texted you if you were registered for a class that was scheduled to meet. We have also posted our closings on WOOD and WZZM. Hopefully we are done for the year. LOL…
The forecast has the weather getting warmer, so we anticipate getting back on track next week. Therefore, here are the reminders to get your RSVP’s
in ASAP:
- Copper Enameling Art Class. This class meets Monday, January 22. FREE. Be sure to identify if you prefer the 10:00 class or the one at 12:30. Class size is limited.
- Hearing Tests. This is also taking place on Monday, January 22. FREE. We have time slots at 11:30, 12:00 and 12:30 available.
- BirthDay Brunch. Here is the January Birthday List. Please wish them a Blessed Birthday! Harry Balicki, Brenda Sue Bennett, Faye Chulski, Bill Cunningham, Fran Damskey, Marlene Downes, Terri Firlik, Ann Geer, Fran Gilhoran, Mary Kaiser, Cynthia Kyles, Pat Madura, Bonnie Randall, Yolanda Rubio, John Sadowski, Stephanie Verde. Please be sure to get your RSVP in ASAP for the brunch. Cost is $5.00 to non-Birthday Celebrants.
- Meanwhile, we hope you will join us for the regular lunches and the Calvin Series live streams. Just give us a heads up so we are prepared for food and space. See the January Calendar, as well as the Calvin Series flyer. Lunch is $5.00, Live streams are FREE.
- Technology Support Classes. The first session that was cancelled due to weather, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 31 at 10:00. Let YAH know if you are interested and have not already registered. There has been a lot of interest and we want to be sure to have adequate space. Classes are FREE, offered on site at YAH, in collaboration with Senior Neighbors.
Lastly, the February Calendar is now available and will be posted on the website shortly. Please note that we are offering two new series: Wits Work Out and The World’s Greatest Geological Wonders. Both FREE. More on this later. We hope you will join us for the love of knowledge, beauty, fun and fellowship.
