Hopefully the warmer temperatures will slow down and the cooler temperatures will rise a bit, so we can enjoy May Flowers…. Where is that perfect balance???
I apologize for getting this email out to you a couple days later than normal. Life has been busy planning some fun summer activities. We are fast approaching May, so I want to forward some information about upcoming Spring events, as well as the May Calendar!
- 1) Saturday, May 13th from 8:00-11:00 is the Creston Neighborhood Pancake Breakfast. Enjoy meeting your neighbors and learning more about your neighborhood resources. See the attached flyer for more details.
- 2) Saturday, May 13th at 7:30 at the East Grand Rapids Performing Arts Center, come and listen to the Schubert Male Chorus Spring Concert. See the attached flyer for more details. Cost: $20.00 in advance.
- 3) Monday, May 15th, 12:00-2:00 Young at Heart will be holding a Spring Tea Luncheon and Baby Shower. Join us for games, entertainment, tea, sandwiches and more. Please bring a Baby Shower Donation. Lighthouse for Teen Moms will be doing a Presentation and donations will be made to help support the Teen Moms in their program. Cost is $5.00 for lunch. - 4) Wednesday, May 17th, 10:00-1:00 is the Area Agency on Aging of West Michigan (AAAWM) Open House. This will be held at 3215 Eaglecrest Dr. NE, Grand Rapids. There will be countless booths highlighting many of the resources available to residents in Kent County that are funded through the Kent County Senior Millage. I am still waiting on a flyer with more details. Cost: FREE.
