Hello Young at Heart Friends and Family,
It was a fun, busy and fascinating day at YAH today. Lots of sweet treats; lively discussions about protecting the gift of life on this earth; conversations about sports and other life events; delicious pizza, salad and dessert; capped off with fascinating stories from the Grand Rapids Archives about crime in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s.
This week Wednesday, November 2nd at 10:30, starts off the three week series on Jewish Traditions led by Rabbi Schadek. Senior Meals will be providing lunch: Turkey Meatloaf with gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Tossed Salad and dessert. Cost for lunch is $5.00.
Technology Drop-in: Next week Monday, November 9th between 1:00-2:00 is the time to bring all your questions about emails, laptops, attachments, how to use your smartphone better and so forth.
Filipino Cultural Day: Wednesday, November 9th at 12:00-2:30 we will be celebrating the Filipino Culture. Join us as we travel virtually to see the beautiful Islands, learn the history, hear the sounds, and taste the flavors. Menu (subject to change): Rice Noodles with Vegetables, Egg Rolls, Chicken Teriyaki on a stick, Pork Adobo, Chicken Afritada, Sweet Rice Cake and Filipino Fruit for dessert. Cost $5.00. Please RSVP.
