Unbelievably March is coming soon! That means Lent, March Madness Basketball, St. Patrick’s Day, early signs of Spring… oh so many things!
At the Young at Heart, we will be holding a special two-part Poverty Simulation presentation during March, as well as an opportunity to have your hearing tested. Michelle Hatfield will host this interactive opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the wide variety of factors that both influence poverty in West Michigan and how St. Alphonsus is trying to help people who are experiencing these hardships. Join us on Mondays, March 21st and 28th at 1:00-2:00. RSVP.
Hearing Tests by Beltone will be available on Monday, March 21st between 9:00-1:00. You MUST make a reservation for your half-hour time slot.

For the supporters of St. Alphonsus, February finishes with a fundraiser at Licari’s Pizza Kitchen. Order a tasty lunch or dinner on Monday, February 28th between 11:00am-9:00pm, mention your connection to St. Alphonsus and St. Al’s will receive a donation for each order placed. Wednesday, March 2nd is Ash Wednesday. For your convenience, St. Alphonsus will have an Ash Wednesday Prayer Service at Noon. Ashes will be available for distribution.
St. Alphonsus’ famous Fish Fries will also be starting, Friday, March 4th. These will be drive-thru only. https://www.stalphonsusgr.org/ for more information.
St. Alphonsus is also holding its Annual Soup-n-Chili Cook-off on Saturday, March 5th from 5:30-8:00pm. This fundraiser will help to support the Mission Team that will be serving the Baldwin, Michigan area on May 9th-13th. Cost is $10.00 in advance/ $12.00 at the door. Dessert Bar, Cash Bar, 50/50 drawing and a Silent Auction. A GREAT time and a GREAT cause!!!
